Architecture — Urban Design — Spatial Research
STRUCTURE IS THE FIRST LANGUAGE OF LIGHT.
STRATA was founded on the belief that a building is a slow argument between gravity, material and the people who will live inside it — and that the best architecture makes that argument quietly.
Led by principal architect Noa Ferreira, STRATA operates out of a converted warehouse in Marvila, working across the Iberian coastline on projects that range from single-family houses cut into cliffside rock to civic buildings that ask a city to slow down.
Twelve years, forty-eight completed projects, and one unmoving idea: that context — the light of a specific latitude, the grain of a specific stone — should always outrank trend.

Architecture is not only about building objects. It is about shaping how people experience light, silence, and time.
What We Practice
Four Stages,
One Continuous Line
Research
Understanding context, climate, people, and place before a single line is drawn.
Concept
Transforming a site's constraints into a clear spatial language.
Development
Refining structure, materials, detailing, and the experience of moving through the space.
Realization
Turning the architectural vision into a built, inhabited reality — on site, to the millimetre.
